PLAYER INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTOMATED NTRP APPEAL ON TENNISLINK

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE TO APPEAL A NTRP RATING ONLINE?

Who can appeal their NTRP Ratings online?

1) 2004, 2005 and 2006 Computer rated players who would like to Move Up or Down

2) 2004, 2005 and 2006 District, State and Section Benchmark rated players who would like to Move Up or Down

3) 2004, 2005 and 2006 Mixed Exclusive who would like to Move Up or Down

4) 2006 and 2007 Self-rate who wish to Move UP only

Who needs to appeal their NTRP Rating through their district instead of appealing online? Visit www.midwest.usta.com/leagues to locate a list of District USTA League Coordinators.

1) 2006 and 2007 Self-rated who wish to Move Down

2) All medical appeals

PLAYER INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTOMATED NTRP APPEAL ONLINE VIA TENNISLINK

Go to TennisLink website: national.usta.com

Go to “FIND A RATING” (on right side of screen) and Click on “Find a Rating”

A player does not have to log into TennisLink, as long as the individual appealing knows the USTA membership number and Zip code on file with the current membership.

Client must search by USTA number in order to see appeal option.

Individual must put in the USTA number in order to

see whether the “Appeal Rating” option appears

on the screen.

After entering the USTA membership number and zip code, the “Appeal Rating” option will only be visible IF the rating can be appealed through “Find A Rating.”

If the “Appeal Rating” option doesn’t appear on the screen, the player is not eligible to continue the appeal process. The player should then contact their District office. Visit www.midwest.usta.com/leagues to locate a list of District USTA League Coordinators.

Click on “Appeal Rating”

Player may review reasons appeals will be granted

Individual must enter their zip code on file with their current membership.

Client will then be asked to select whether they want to appeal . . .

UP or Down

(DOWN was selected in example at right)

If the online appeal form is being completed by Captain/Administrator, they must provide their USTA Number at this point in the process.

Click SUBMIT

The next screen (at left and below in example) indicates whether the appeal is Granted or Denied.

GRANTED


If the appeal is Denied, there is an explanation provided based on the Regulations and NTRP Methodology reasons for granting an appeal.

Client can receive an e-mail confirmation of the appeal decision by providing address in the appropriate location on the screen.

Click OK

After completing the online appeal process, client will be directed to a NEW Welcome Screen which includes information on understanding NTRP as well as USTA League information.
